- In the last 7 days there have been 3,772 new cases of COVID reported. On July 17, Iowa reached a peak number of cases reported in one day at 879 cases. Unfortunately, there were 38 additional deaths this week, bringing the total to 815.
- Hospitalizations have climbed to 232, which is a 95% increase in the last 25 days. In the past 24 hours, 29 patients have been admitted to the hospital, with 71 patients in the ICU.

- The federal eviction prevention program expires on Saturday, July 25. Under the CARES Act, tenants of apartment buildings financed by federally backed mortgages could not be evicted for failing to pay rent for 120 days.
