Please support Iowa’s high quality preschool initiative for 20,000 Iowa four year olds. The preschool initiative is supported by educators, business leaders, and parents because research proves it helps raise student achievement while saving taxpayers money in the long run.
The statewide preschool initiative is sustainable and is a wise investment for our future. The state should not reduce access to public or private preschool and make it more difficult for middle class families. The state must also continue to guarantee quality instruction for children by certified teachers.

I have been a daycare provider for 10 years, and a nanny long before as well. I have worked for the rich, the middle and the poor. If we don’t give these kids a good start to begin with , we will pay for it in the end.

Pre-school is very important for Iowa. Licenced teacher must be hired.

We need to provide preschool program for all of our little ones. The ones that need it most, will be the first to be dropped if the current program is reduced.
We need jobs and preschool teachers are needed and classrooms for our 4 yr olds. Do you want them all on unemployment lines too.

We need to support ALL our children, in the very best way we can. Preschool is a venue, and an opportunity, for us to do this. Nurture our children, educate them well. Quality preschool is an evidence based practice.
i have now sent two of my four childern to preschool it has been the best thing out there. please keep it going not for the parents but for the childern they deserve it

Cutting funding for education at ANY level in this state would be unforgivable. Regardless if you’re Republican or Democrat, anyone can see that a sound education system is the most significant investment for the future of our State and security of our economy and Nation.
I urge ALL politicians in Des Moines to start cutting WASTEFUL STATE SPENDING, duplicated efforts at STATE agencies and reduce non-essential programs before you even LOOK at cuts to ANY level of education in this state.
I would remind all our politicians in Iowa that our citizens speak loudly at the polls when you don’t listen to us – just ask some out-of-work Judges.
public education is the best thing that happened to our state and our county. our quarter has a schoolhouse on it. public preschool is a wonderful tool and a wonderful stepping stone into the rest of a child’s educational career. getting rid of public preschool would be myopic.
