For every three Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) jobs in Iowa, there is only one STEM-qualified job seeker. The Iowa STEM Advisory Council is seeking to change that through a STEM Teacher Education Award.
The award would go to one teacher in each of the Iowa STEM council regions who are believed to inspire Iowa’s students to develop a passion for STEM subjects. Each winner will receive a $1,500 award and $1,500 to be used in their classroom. Anyone can submit a nomination, and all certified K-12 teachers in the state of Iowa who teach a STEM subject are eligible to win.
To nominate someone, sign up at to https://stemaward.fluidreview.com/ . The nomination period is from October 22nd through December 12th. Winners will be announced on February 9th. The STEM Teacher Education award is sponsored by Kemin Industries.
Congratulations in advance to the teacher who will win this award. This teacher is very glad and honors to receive this award. Thanks for sharing this post.
