Online reservations for campsites at Iowa’s state parks are available starting Sunday, February 25th. This year, 75% of campsites can be reserved online and 25% can be reserved at the park on a first-come first-serve basis. Previously only 50% of campsites could be reserved online.

A bill that would allow up to 100% of campsites to be reserved through the online system passed the Senate this week. Senate File 2020 removes the 75% online reservation cap, allowing for all campsites to be reserved online. The bill passed the Senate unanimously and is now in the House Natural Resources Committee.
