Eric Pederson is a fifth generation farmer in Poweshiek County. He is a graduate of Grinnell High School and has a BS in Agricultural Mechanization from Iowa State University. He is the manager of Pederson Farms, raising corn, beans, alfalfa and livestock. He is also a Manager at Jeld-Wen Door Systems.
Pederson has long been involved in community activities. He is a former Grinnell-Newburg School Board Member and President, was a board member of Grinnell 2000 and Farm 2000, and has lobbied for Family Farm rights in Washington, DC. He is active in Chester Royal Grange.
He and his wife, Anne, have been married for 25 years and have four children and one grandchild. They attend the UCC Congregational Church where Pederson is on the Board of Trustees.
