David Johnson is a Democrat running to serve Iowa’s 73rd House District. David is a Senior Database Administrator and a GI Bill Certifying Official for the University of Iowa. He is a Gulf War Veteran and a former City Councilman from West Branch. David is married and has three children in the public school system.
David got his degree at the University of Iowa using the Montgomery GI Bill, so he takes great satisfaction in helping today’s returning veterans in their quest to get an education. He believes that the greatest economic stimulus tool we have at our disposal is our schools and colleges. He will be a strong advocate for education.
As a former city councilman, David is interested in finding new ways to help our local communities meet the demands of the 21st Century.
