State Representative Jim Lykam of Davenport announced today that he will seek re-election to the Iowa House of Representatives in House District 89 which includes portions of western Davenport.

Lykam is currently serving his seventh term in the Iowa House. He serves as a ranking member of the Transportation Committee, as well as serving on the Commerce and Natural Resources Committees and the Transportation, Infrastructure and Capitals Budget Subcommittee.

Jim was born and raised in Davenport.  He is a graduate of Davenport West High School and Palmer Junior College. Jim and his wife, Barb, have been married for 42 years and have one son grown son, Jeff.
