A new state grant is available to cities, schools, businesses, and other groups to improve urban water quality and create jobs. Administered by the Iowa Dept. of Natural Resources, the $1.4 million I-JOBS Green Urban Stormwater program is designed to stop urban stormwater pollution through initiatives like bioswales, rain gardens, and permeable pavement.
Applicants can receive up to 50% of installation costs or up to $100,000. Applications will be available on October 15 at www.iowadnr.gov.
