• Another 398 positive cases were reported on Friday bringing the total 11,457 in Iowa. There were 12 more deaths. 
  • Public health officials in Black Hawk County, home of the Tyson Plant in Waterloo which made national headlines because of an outbreak, said there were 1,031 positive cases of the coronavirus among the 2,800 workers. That’s more than double reported by the Governor just a day earlier.
  • The US economy lost over 20 million jobs in April pushing the unemployment rate to 14.7%, the highest since the Great Depression of the 1930’s.
