• There were 454 new positive cases on Friday, for a total of 16,408 cases in Iowa.  Sadly, there were another 18 deaths, bringing the total to 418.

  • Iowa’s unemployment rate jumped up to 10.2% in April. It’s the highest level ever recorded, but below the national unemployment rate of 14.7%. State officials said another 17,592 Iowans filed for unemployment last week with total weekly claims now topping 222,000.
