- There were 97 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the total up to 1,145. There was one additional death bringing the total to 27. There are 104 Iowans currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
- The Iowa National Guard is providing facilities and personnel to support six Regional Medical Coordination Centers across the state as part of an Iowa Department of Public Health and Iowa Health Care Coalition initiative to pool resources and aid in the sharing of critical information across multiple agencies to combat the spread of COVID-19.
- An additional $20 million for the Small Business Relief Fund through the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) was announced. The department has already awarded 503 businesses grants, totaling over $10 million. IEDA will continue to award grants until the $24 million in funds is exhausted from the original 13,745 applicants.
