- There were 87 new positive cases of COVID-19 reported on Saturday, bringing the total up to 786. There are now 85 Iowans currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 and 14 Iowans have died.
- There are now over 1.1 million coronavirus cases worldwide and over 59,000 have died. The US now leads the world with 276,000 positive cases, which is twice as many as in Spain and Italy and three times as many as in China. So far, 7,122 Americans have died.
- The Iowa Department of Human Rights, Division of Community Action Agencies has extended Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) applications through May 31, 2020.
