State Representative Bruce Hunter of Des Moines announced today that he will seek re-election to the Iowa House of Representatives in House District 34, which includes Southern parts of the City of Des Moines.
Hunter is currently serving his sixth term in the Iowa House. He serves as Ranking Member on the House Labor Committee, and on the Human Resources, and State Government Committees, as well as the Administration and Regulation Appropriations Subcommittee.
Bruce is married to Betty Brim-Hunter. He worked for Citi Group as a Customer Service Manager for 8 years and also worked for Iowa Student Loans for two years as a loan consultant. Bruce has been very active in community groups throughout his life. He is a past president of the Davenport Jacyees and a past district director of the Iowa Jaycees. In addition, he has been active in the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
