The US Department of Housing and Urban Development has approved Iowa’s $517 million disaster recovery plan.  The action plan, which is funded through the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), includes the following:

  • $220 million — Home buyouts
  • $125 million – New housing and rental units
  • $75 million – Business Assistance
  • $65 million – Infrastructure
  • $10 million – Flood plain mapping
