Legislators Seek Iowans’ Input To Make Government More Efficient

The co-chairs of the Legislature’s State Government Reorganization Commission are seeking Iowans’ suggestions on ways to make specific state agencies and departments more efficient and effective.The request for public input is made by Rep. Mary Mascher of Iowa City and Sen. Staci Appel of Ackworth on behalf of the 14 co-chairs of the Legislature’s seven Appropriations Subcommittees.

“After last week’s 10% across the board cut, it’s clear state government is going to have to do more with less money,” Mascher said. “It is important that we make wise decisions and find new, innovative ways to make state government more efficient.” (more…)
