Monica is serving her first term in the Iowa House representing the people of Davenport after winning a special election in January of 2017.
Monica serves on the Human Resources, Environmental Protection, Local Government, Public Safety, Ways and Means committees and the Education Appropriations Budget Subcommittee. She also was appointed to serve on the Research and Development School Advisory Council.
Monica has dedicated her life to serving Davenport. As a counselor and instructor at Scott Community College for over 20 years, Monica has focused on preparing our community for the 21st century economy.
Kurth, a mother of 2 adult children, is a long-time resident of Davenport. She is an active in Quad Cities Interfaith, a coalition of community groups and congregations that work together to address local issues like education funding and access to health care.
