Iowa House District 2
Arts on Grand executive director, lifelong Iowan, and community volunteer Ryan Odor is running for Iowa House District 2. The district includes Palo Alto County, Clay County, and parts of Dickinson County.
Odor grew up in Spencer, attended Iowa Lakes Community College, and started a career in hospitality. He moved back to Spencer almost a decade ago to immerse himself in his community. Odor is now the executive director of Arts of Grand, an art gallery and Cultural Leadership Partner affiliated with the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs in Spencer, where he devotes his time leading the promotion of arts and culture in northwest Iowa. Previously, Ryan was the Director at Clay County Heritage.
Ryan’s wife Beth is the Sunshine/Hope Haven Associate Religious Coordinator and pastor at the Langdon United Methodist Church. Ryan's stepson, Beth's Son, Darrian is a senior at Spencer High School and plans to attend Morningside in the fall. Ryan is active in his community as a member of the Rotary Club, Spencer Community Theater, Young Professionals, Langdon United Methodist a Church, and treasurer for Clay County Democrats.
