Iowa Continues Job and Education Assistance for Veterans

A new website launched in the state to help Iowa’s military find job opportunities. The website, www.homebase.org is a source of job services available to veterans including, job postings, job fairs and educational opportunities, such as skilled training or tuition assistance.

The website is funded by outreach support and is a public-private partnership led by Iowa’s military community, Iowa Workforce Development, Iowa Economic Development Authority and the State of Iowa. Veterans, businesses, or Iowa communities interested in learning more about the program¬† should contact 855-9HB-IOWA (855-942-4692) or homebase@iowa.gov.

National Guard Education Assistance Program Continues to Work

For the fifth straight year, over 1,300 Iowa National Guard soldiers and airmen per academic year have taken advantage of the National Guard Education Assistance Program.  The program has helped the Iowa National Guard attract high quality soldiers and airmen by assisting them in continuing their education here in Iowa.
