Fairfield Rep. Curt Hanson Announces Run for Fourth Term

State Representative Curt Hanson of Fairfield announced today that he will seek re-election to the Iowa House of Representatives for House District 82 which includes Davis, Jefferson, and Van Buren counties.

Hanson is currently serving his third term in the Iowa House. He serves as ranking member of the Natural Resources Committee and also serves on Agriculture, Education and the Education Appropriations Subcommittee.

Curt is a retired driver’s education teacher at Fairfield High School and was named Fairfield Teacher of the Year in 1994.  Born and raised on an Iowa farm, Curt is a 50 year resident of Fairfield. He and his wife Diane have two grown children and four grandchildren. Hanson is the former president of the Iowa Association of Safety Education, and business manager of the Iowa Association of Safety Education.  He is a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Fairfield Kiwanis, and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
