Led by State Representative Bob Kressig of Cedar Falls, the Iowa House approved a bill to expand health insurance coverage for prosthetics. House File 311, which was approved on a 64-33 vote, requires health insurance companies to cover medically necessary prosthetic arms and legs at the same level as Medicare.
