A ceremony honoring Iowa Peace Officers will be held on Friday, May 18th at the Iowa Peace Officer Memorial in Des Moines to pay tribute to officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The 2012 Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony is open to the public and all Iowans are invited to attend the event at 10am at the Lucas State Office Building on the corner of East Grand Ave and East 12th St in Des Moines.
