Rebuild Iowa Day at the Capitol

Today was Rebuild Iowa Day at the Capitol where people from across the state highlighted recovery efforts and representatives from disaster-affected communities provided recovery information.
This event was sponsored by Iowa’s Rebuild Iowa Office and was held so that individuals can learn more about the state’s disaster recovery efforts from the 2008 floods and tornadoes.
The Rebuild Iowa Office has worked with Iowa’s leaders at all levels to secure more than $3.6 billion for Iowa’s disaster recovery.
Their goal is to help the state work towards a full recovery while working with local, state and federal recovery partners to encourage cooperation and communication.
