Beth is serving her 2nd term in the Iowa House of Representatives. She is Chair of the Administration and Rules committee. She also serves on the Judiciary and Human Resources committees, as well as the Health and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee.

Beth is married to Tom Kroeschell. He is the Associate Athletic Director, Media Relations at Iowa State University. They have two children, Liza and Robbie.

Beth was born and raised in Ames. Following graduation from Ames High, she earned her BA from the University of Northern Iowa, and her MPA from Iowa State University.

Beth is a former high school English teacher and has done substantial work in non-profit administration. She was on the board of ACCESS, a battered women’s shelter, for four years and served as their president. She was chair of the Story County Equal Rights Amendment campaign in 1992.
